Summer Wardrobe Has Arrived :)

Glorious summer is finally here! The warmest, sunniest, funniest season, full of hotness and trendiness! As a huge lover of this season, I’ve always found summer fashion extraordinary marvelous. What’s not to love about it – vacations, long walks by the beach, pool parties, picnic dates out in the open and warm long disco nights out … Summer, of course, much like other seasons, comes with its own trends and its personal must-have items. So let’s check out the ultimate fatal 13 in both the seasonal must-haves and the latest 2K19 trends. Prepare yourself to be put in the mood for an instant shopping spree!
That All
Time Summer Must-haves:
1. Bike shorts/ Bermuda shorts
These are great for the summer. They are light, keep you cool during the
warm weather and are very comfortable. Sporty shorts are perfect for everything
from jogging to a yacht party. Some companies even have casual days when you
are allowed to wear them to the office.
2. Maxi dress/ Maxi skirt
As boho as it could possibly get - these are comfortable, make you feel
free, come in various (and fabulous) colors and patterns and are excessively
feminine. I associate them with seaside breeze, carelessness and ultimate
happiness. They are suitable for a wide range of occasions. Particularly
gorgeous are the floral ones – no wonder they come around again and again during
every spring/ summer runway.

3. The perfect swimsuit
The ultimate must-have item! Even if you don’t plan a seaside vacation,
opportunities always come up – a day by the pool, sunbathing by the nearest
river or lake, going to the spa. There is a reason I don’t pick any particular
shape here. The perfect swimsuit is different for every person. You have to be are
of your body shape and choose it wisely, having both your shape and skin color
in mind. It can be a one or two pieces, in a bright or dark color. The most
important thing is to feel comfortable and glamorous in it.
4. Favorite beachwear item
It’s almost as important as the perfect swimsuit. Your favorite bathing
suit+ beachwear item fit you like a second skin. Want to feel glamorous around
the beach bar or the pool? Want to take some photos walking around the coastline?
Here come these awesome items – pareos, kaftans, skirts and vests. Pick your
favorite one and shine in it!

5. Denim shorts (or short jumpsuit)
Denim is love at first sight! At least for me, personally, it has always
been a great asset and I love denim in my wardrobe. Shorts are a lifesaver
during hot summer days. Casual denim
shorts are carefree, sexy and very comfy. The short denim jumpsuit is the
updated version – it’s just as comfortable, but it’s edgier, trendier and definitely
sexier.
6. Crop top
Oh, I love these! A 90s callback, the crop top fits perfectly with
jeans, shorts, leggings or a skirt. They come in various colors, fabrics and
patterns, always look incredibly hot but will keep you cool in the heat of the
summer. They are great for the beach, the park, a party or a date night – there
is a crop top for every occasion. Ruffled tops are particularly cute, my
favorite option!
7. Low back dress/ Open back top
It’s just the sexiest thing out there! As a huge fan of low backs, I
always recommend them for special occasions. What’s even better during the
summer is that you don’t really need a special occasion. A naked back is always
a nice option for the hot days. A short cocktail dress for a garden party or a
long one for occasions like prom or wedding always look gorgeous with a low
back and a backdrop necklace. A top with an open back equals disco fever. It’s
perfect for glamorous nights out, especially when it comes to beach parties.
You want to know what looks incredible with a low back – a LBD, the most
famous cocktail dress in the world. You can learn more about its history here: https://trendywardrobetales.blogspot.com/2018/07/the-ultimate-killer-little-black-dress.html
8. Off shoulder blouse (and its
variations)
These are too cute for words. You can choose a blouse with one shoulder,
with fallen sleeves or cut out ones – they all look sexy and keep you cool. The
hot days call for hot fashion trends, and lately this one is really on fire!
They can be in one color or in a cute pattern – checkered, striped, dotted, you
name it!
9. Big hat
My favorite item of them all! Let’s face it – summer heat can be
dangerous. As much as I love this season, overheating can cause a lot of pain
and we all need to be really careful when it comes to our health. Hats are truly
necessary for moments like this. And if you want to go extra trendy and
fashion-forward with your protection – go for a big hat! I mean the fabulous ones
that the ladies from the movies wear. I’ve always admired them! They look flat
out gorgeous on everybody’s head.
10. Mini bag/ Clutch
They are suitable for every season but summertime calls for great nights
out and what is a night out in town without a gorgeous clutch. The mini bags
are super trendy for the past few seasons, too. The only disadvantage is that
they cannot contain all the chaos a woman is willing to put into her bag! But I
have to admit, they can all fit the most necessary items, so there’s no real need
to worry. After all they are cute, comfortable to wear and look 100% fabulous.
11. Sandals (preferably with heels)
I love sandals. They honestly are the best summer shoes – comfortable,
let your skin breathe, look great and
fit every occasion. The sandals with heels, however, are my favorite! They look
sexy and feminine and are a great option for a summer evening, sepecially a
more elegant one.
12. Espadrilles
Comfy and sporty, they are so light you basically walk on air! I love
them because they are casual and therefore suitable for a wide range of outfits.
They also come in various colors and patterns and unlike sneakers don’t
suffocate your feet. They let you skin breathe and make you feel carefree. I
strongly recommend them as tourist shoes – makes the travelling process much
more enjoyable!
13. Scarf as a cover up
As a huge fan of scarfs, I recommend them all the time. There is a
fabric for every occasion and season. But when it comes to summer scarves –
they are light as a summer breeze and always gentle and beautiful. You can pick
whatever pattern or print suit you best. Of all accessories, scarves can
function in most ways. My favorite summer option is to use them as cover ups – not
just as beachwear, but also far away from the coastline. Instead of picking a
jacket or a cardigan with me, during the summer I always pick a scarf. It can
easily be put in the bag and you can carry it around all day. In case it turns
colder, you just take it out and hug yourself in it. Warm and sweet!
Trends for
Summer 2K19:
1. Everything fringed
This gorgeous Wild West inspired trend has been going strongly for the
past few years. Boho chic and very sexy, fringe is here to stay. I strongly recommend
it for bags, belts, shoes or handmade jewelry.
2. Tie dye
This is probably the hottest summer trend out there right now. Tie dye
is a gorgeous mixture of few colors that mingle and basically flow into each
other. Patterns of this sort look artistic and beautiful. I recommend it for
dresses most of all.
3. Animalistic prints
This one has been making a strong comeback for a few months. These
prints look sexy and bossy and overall awesome. If this is the trend you like, don’t
hesitate to go for it! Just don’t forget not to mix it with another animalistic
print or a bright neon color.
4. Neon green color
Speaking of neon, this particular shade of green is a hot trend right
now! Go boldly for it and embrace it, but don’t forget to check if it fits your
skin tone!
5. Feathers on accessories
They look fabulous when put in the right positions. Wild from one side,
retro Hollywood glam from the other – feathers can be that little detail that
really brings the attention to the outfit. I recommend them for hats or bags.
6. Fishnet clothing
This one is tricky, but it has been gaining popularity lately. Designers
make a wide range of fishnet items, yet my recommendation is to stick to the
beachwear with this one.
7. Dots as a pattern
What’s more retro 50s chic than this pattern? As a person who loves
dots, I have to admit these have always been attracting me. For level cuteness
overload, my recommendation is to pick dresses or skirts in these pattern.
8. Lavender color
Another hot trend for the summer, it has been gaining popularity ever
since the spring collections came up. You probably find it very soft, gentle
and feminine – honestly, so do I. I highly recommend it for summer dresses.
9. Shorts + blazer
This one is a little bit odd, if you ask me. But it can look cute at the
same time. It’s extravagant, bold, fashion forward and will make you the star
in the office. My recommendation is to choose monochrome colors and, of course,
check for a casual day option before you go all business shorts!

10. Puff shoulders
A little bit Victorian, and just a tiny bit extravagant, this trend is
gaining speed. I personally find it sweet, but you have to check if it suits
your body shape first. My recommendation is to try this all vintage vibe,
choosing white, pink, nude or gold as a color.
11. Bucket hats
A callback from my childhood - they are cute, comfy, carry 90s vibe and
certainly do good job in keeping your head safe. They protect you from
overheating and keep you cool in many ways. I recommend combining it with denim
– look flawless together.

12. Patchwork
This one has also been going strong for the past few years. Patchwork is
bold and fun, it’s edgy and fashionable. I recommend trying it by combining denim
and bright color patches.
13. Belt bags
Another hot trend that relies on comfort - it’s sporty, casual, looks
cute. Does it remind you of another 90s trend – yes, the fanny pack! Personally
I am not a huge fan of these bags but I do admit they make everything easier.
My recommendation is to pick a pale or nude color for the bag and put the
accent in the outfit somewhere else.
